IMPORTANCE OF STAYING HYDRATED


WATER (H2O):

  • We all know what is water.
  • We drink it every day after every few hours, and it helps our body to function properly and to maintain our overall health.
  • Water is a vital nutrien
t that our body requires in significant amounts on a daily basis.


Importance of Drinking Water:

  • On average, our human body is about 60% water.
  • Water is an integral and an essential part of our life, but in our today's fast pace life sometimes we forget to stay hydrated.
  • Drinking water and staying hydrated is really important, it helps us in:
      (i) Temperature Regulation
      (ii) Digestion and Nutrient Absorption
      (iii) Joint Lubrication
      (iv) Skin Health, etc.



How Much Water You Should DRINK In a Day:

  • The amount of water a person should drink in a day can vary based on factors such as age, sex, activity level, climate, and overall health.
  • There is no one-size-fits-all answer, but a commonly cited guideline is to drink "1 liter water per 20kgs of your body weight".
  • It simply means that if I am a guy who has a weight of 80kgs then I should drink 4 liters of water per day at least.


Staying Hydrated:

  • Many people just have a habit of drinking less water, but it's not a good habit.
  • You should always stay hydrated and you should always complete your daily water intake goals.
  • If you're finding it difficult to complete your daily water intake goals, then you can take help from your family or friends who can remind you of staying hydrated.
  • Or you can just stay independent and you can set up 3-4 alarms throughout the day which will remind you of staying hydrated.
